Sand Creek Event Center is a family owned and run event center at 1601 S Anderson Ave in Newton. Trinity and Martha Muth have been a part of the Newton community for the last 15 year and they shared their heart behind opening Sand Creek Event Center in Newton.

“Sand Creek Event Center was completed in 2019 by 3 local families. The idea behind the event space initially was to sell fireworks. The fireworks business has been in my husband’s family for 53 years! Initially started in the Great Bend area, we decided to bring the fun to Newton. We work all year long on fireworks to bring the best products to Kansas at the lowest prices possible. We also give back to the community each year by donating the proceeds of our spin wheel and dice games, where participants win prizes and free fireworks, to the Food Pantry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Although we really enjoy fireworks, we can only sell them one week out of the year! So our ideas of an event space started in 2017 when we were discussing construction plans. Our mission is to provide affordable rentals for virtually any type of event. Our open concept space is 7500 square feet, which has serve numerous events such as quinceañeras and birthday celebrations, retirement and graduation parties, weddings and baby showers, business meetings and non-profit auctions and even farm equipment demos. Our open catering policy also works well for renters wanting to bring in their own food.

We have raised our family in the Newton area for the last 15 years and hope to continue growing our businesses!”
