Peoples Bank & Trust Now a Full-Service Location
Beginning in January, Peoples Bank & Trust in Newton, located 123 E. Broadway, became a full-service location. Stop by to see Mel and his team for all of your banking needs!
As a full service branch, the bank would like to introduce their staff.
Danielle Bishop
Peoples Bank and Trust is proud to have Danielle Bishop, a Teller, who is ready to serve the community of Newton.
“Danielle has been such an important part of building those strong and meaningful relationships with our customers. We could not be happier to have such a positive and kind person on our team!” said Melvin Schadler, Vice President.
“I have been with Peoples Bank and Trust since June of 2021 and I hope to continue to grow and learn new skills to better serve our community. One of the most important things here at Peoples Bank and Trust is letting our customers know that they are truly valued and appreciated. Because of that, I will work hard each day to encourage our current customers as well as seek out new relationship opportunities”, said Bishop.
In Danielle’s free time she enjoys shopping, blogging, and spending time with her family. Danielle is very involved with her local church and loves anything to do with coffee.
Jessica Williams
Peoples Bank and Trust would also like to introduce Jessica Williams, a Loan Assistant and Customer Service Representative for their Newton location.
“With several years of banking experience, we are very pleased to have Jessica on our team. She brings so much knowledge, understanding, and kindness to the table and uses those qualities to better serve our customers. Jessica truly cares about the needs of our customers and does a wonderful job of making sure they are well taken care of.”, said Melvin Schadler, Vice President.
“I have been in banking for over 6 years, and that time has allowed me to truly learn and understand the importance of caring for our customers. One of the core values here at Peoples Bank and Trust is working hard. We are truly a bank for our community and we take pride in putting our customers first and helping them succeed”, said Williams.
In Jessica’s free time she enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Mel Schadler
Finally, Mel Schadler is the Vice President of Commercial and Real Estate Lending at the Newton location.
“We are truly excited to have Mel on our team! Mel encompasses our Core Values of working hard, having vision, being honest, and building relationships. He is a great asset to our team and knows the Newton area well.” said Tom Pruitt, President and CEO of Peoples Bank and Trust. Melvin is a graduate of Sterling College and has over 30 years of banking experience in the Newton area.
“My vision for Peoples Bank and Trust in Newton is to establish ourselves as the friendliest bank in town, offering products and services that meet the community needs by having staff that value relationships and do their best to satisfy the customer”, said Schadler. He continued by saying, “My longer-term goal is to open the new bank facility, get it operating smoothly and successfully, and have to begin searching for a 2nd location in the community.”
In Mel’s free time he enjoys spending time at his lake house with friends and family, golfing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
