July was an exciting month for Newton’s business community as the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated three ribbon cuttings. Each event gave community members an opportunity to meet local business owners, explore their spaces, and recognize their continued investment in Newton.
Crust & Crumb Co.
On July 9, the Chamber celebrated Crust & Crumb Co.’s new Main Street location at 507 N. Main Street.
The expanded location allows the locally owned bakery to offer additional days and extended hours of operation. Guests joined owner and operator Shanna Entz and her staff for an outdoor ribbon cutting, followed by an open house and refreshments.

Get Pretty Salon
On July 10, the Chamber welcomed Get Pretty Salon to the Newton business community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1015 Washington Road.
Get Pretty Salon is a mother-and-daughter-owned business operated by Melissa Cox and her daughter. Guests gathered inside the new salon to celebrate its opening and learn more about the services available.
The Chamber concluded its July ribbon cuttings on July 15 at From Ours to Yours, LLC, located at 201 W. First Street.
Owner Jessica Cawthorne welcomed guests to the locally owned boutique, which offers a curated selection of vintage, thrifted, and handcrafted treasures, antiques, home décor, and nostalgic treats. Guests explored the store during an open house and enjoyed homemade cookies from Buttercream & Bookmarks.
Thank you to everyone who attended these celebrations and helped support our local businesses. We are proud to recognize the entrepreneurs and business owners who continue to invest in Newton and strengthen our community.
