Educational Workshops

A few times throughout the year, the Chamber will schedule educational workshops, where we bring in a speaker to help teach our members and community about topics that are relevant and pressing in today’s business community. Workshops typically focus on different areas of professional development, including marketing, best hiring practices, social media content creation, or even general leadership.

We typically try to host 1-2 workshops per year to provide our members with valuable, educational information. Our next workshop is coming up on March 2nd! You can view event details below.

Thursday, March 2 | Noon-1:30pm | Meridian Center

DIY Marketing Tools – Practical, hands-on training with user-friendly online marketing tools and platforms for your DIY Marketing needs, such as: basic graphic design, page layout, landing pages, email campaigns, and form building. In this session, we will be training on desktop applications, so laptops will be required. Mobile versions of apps will not be covered at this time. Lunch will be provided at this event (included in the registration fee).

About the event speaker, Andrea Braker – Community Creative Services

Andrea Braker has over 20 years of small business and non-profit marketing experience. She recently launched Community Creative Services, an agency in Newton, KS, to offer local businesses and organizations her creative services and marketing expertise. Andrea’s unique tiered approach is designed to meet the specific needs for any sized project or budget. From DIY trainings and collaborative work, to professional analytics and organizational overhauls, Andrea is here to help you visualize a better way forward with her energy, efficiency, creative problem-solving skills, and cost-effective mindset.

To register for this event, please complete the following 2 steps:

1. The cost to register is $25 (lunch included). For non-Chamber members, the cost to register is $35. To reserve a seat and pay your registration fee, you can REGISTER HERE.

2. Once you are registered, please complete THIS SURVEY, so we can best tailor the training to what tools our attendees want to learn most: basic graphic design, page layout, landing pages, email campaigns, and form building.

You will be contacted closer to the date about the specific platforms we will be using based on the results of the survey, so you can be sure to have the correct online accounts activated on your laptop prior to the training day.
